I posted this to my blog on facebook as well: 'Northwest Bigfoot'

A friend and I decided to go to Loon Lake on 7/25 as it has its own history of sightings over the years. Ive been there 4 times or so by myself but I never did have anything happen on any of those outings. This is also the first time I spent the night out there and unplanned I might add. I didnt notice anything unusual at the lake while I was there. There is a certain eeriness and mystique there that sometimes can be felt in isolated areas like that.
We had taken a wrong on the way back from Loon Lake and we were in a pretty good mood. We saw the B-23 wreckage for my first time and I also waded into the lake for the first time as well. We spoke to some campers that were really nice and they filled our water bottles with filtered water. We came to different trail head than where we started. I kept telling my friend that I thought we were on the wrong trial. My friend wanted to continue down a 4-wheeler trail thinking it might take us to the same vicinity of where the car was parked. I tried to convince him that we took a wrong turn and we should just head back to where we came from but to no avail. I knew we for sure we shouldn't split up as it was about 6:30-7pm by now. We walked for about a mile or so down this trial that I now know leads to a place called Chinook Crk Campground. Off to the left I heard what sounded exactly like a siren in the trees. It lasted about 3 seconds at the most and then we didn't hear or see anything else in that area at all. It was very loud too! That was very unusual to me and Id find it hard to believe someone was sitting off to the side of trail making this kind of sound late at night when we didn't see anyone else out there.
I convinced my friend to eventually turn back because we were easily 4-5 miles off course anyway. I didnt want to hike any further on a trail Ive never been on before in hopes that maybe we'll make it to the car very late pm or early am on Sunday.
We camped on the trail and I was able to start a little fire and try to get a little bit of rest at least. We were able to keep warm with the fire as we didn't have any long sleeve shirts and no coats or anything to cover up with. I had a hard time sleeping as each time I closed my eyes I pictured something standing over me just looking at me. I was laying on my backpack and I looked to my left and there on the hillside maybe 40-50 ft from us I noticed a very dim yellow light. It was very unlike any eye shine I had seen before as it almost looked like a dim flashlight and then slowly it would go out. A minute or two later it would do the same thing over again. I asked my friend: 'Do you see that dim light over there?' He said: 'Yeah I think so'. I said: 'What do you think that is'?? He said: 'Im not sure maybe its a firefly'. Well to my knowledge Ive never seen a firefly in ID. I asked my Dad about them because he said he use to see them back east. He said the ones that he saw were green and they were very bright. Whatever this was it wasn't very bright at all and it was yellow. This dim light was going off and on for a good two to two and half hour or so. It was very small and it was 2-3 inches in diameter.
Around 12:30 or so I thought I caught glimpse of a flash of bright Red flash that was very quick (1 second) I wasn't able to ask my friend if he had seen it he had his back turned at the time. Call me crazy but it looked to me as though something bipedal about 6-6.5 was standing there. It was almost like it lit itself up just for a second. I didnt think to look for any kind of track in these areas. Ugh!! I was so tired the next morning I just wanted to get to the car.
The rest of the night was uneventful we put the fire out and began to move out around 5:30am or so. I had maybe 40 minutes of sleep tops as I didn't want the fire to go out and one would try to sleep while the other made sure fire was still going.
We walked down the 4 wheeler trail maybe a mile and half or so and I thought I could hear screams up on the hillside. I asked my friend if he could hear those. He said: 'Yeah is it kids playing?' I said: 'Up on the hillside at this early in the morning?' Those are like no kids playing that Ive ever heard. They were also very consistent each time. He brought up the possibility of a bird but Ive never heard a bird make a sound like that before. They lasted around 8-10 seconds each time. We heard them for a good 20 minutes as we continued on down the trail. I said Ive only heard a sound like that on the BFRO site and it was the Klamath Falls screams. Although it didnt sound as distressed those calls were very similar.
My friend told me that he wanted to run ahead and said thats ok just wait for me once you get up there aways up the trail. I didn't see him after that and I began yelling for him but I wasn't getting an answer. I walked for about 90 minutes by myself and I still couldn't find him and he wasn't answering me. I soon decided that it was my best bet to turn around and go back the way I came which I wanted to do in the beginning and make sure I get back on the right trail. I got maybe two to two and a half miles up the trail and came to the same area where I heard the screams an hour or so before and I could still hear them but they were very faint.
I soon heard a motorcycle coming up the trail and not realizing he was coming to look for me I stopped and waited for him. My friend ran to his campground and told the person the situation and he began looking for me. Torey said he was cold and scared. So we were out of there soon and we got some breakfast to boot. I was pretty annoyed about the situation for sure but I figured I had already proved him wrong with the current situation so I didn't go there.
I want my friend to listen to my directions next time as Ive been to the area a few times before and this was his first time. A map is a must as well. Shame on me for not doing that.
I was glad it came to a good ending so we could make it out of there ok. Ill have to admit it was a good experience despite what I had to go through. (Jim)The guy that was looking for me told me were 10 miles off course so I was just biting my lip at that point. Obviously getting turned around wasn't part of the plan but then we wouldn't have had our experience either.
My very first BF experience in my home state. Ive heard of activity here but Ive never experienced it first hand.
Kudos to us!!!! We'll be back to this area soon guaranteed.

henry franzoni show- (05-08-2009 13:46:24)

http://www.blogtalkradio.com/stonegraphics/2009/05/09/HENRY-FRANZONNI-THE-SPIRIT-OF-SEATCO-IN-LAYMANS-TERMS-

This will be a very Interesting show for you folks, come and join us Saturday afternoon at 6pm central Iowa time, and join in a educational time

our next radio show (03-22-2009 16:26:03)

http://www.blogtalkradio.com/BIGFOOTTALESANDCRYPTIDS/2009/03/27/THOMAS-SMITER-LETS-TALK-BIGFOOT-ON-BIGFOOT-TALES

Activity in central WA (03-10-2009 23:55:14)

There are 3 replies, with the last one on 03/10/2009 at 23:55:14 by BFROfreak

Bigfoot, What are they?
